Thirdsphere - Marketing tools and hosting rolled into one package

Thursday 23 March 2006 @ 5:35 am

This post won’t be for everyone, but if you are serious about marketing products or services on the internet, no matter what sort but especially information products, I’m going to let you in on a a secret.

Some of you may know that I wrote a little book called The 90 Minute Car Salesman. It’s a book showing you how to sell your car in a private sale. Sells for about $20. I did a lot of research when I wrote it for how to deliver it securely, how to take payment, how to run an affiliate program, auto responder.

Well as you may have found out if you get all this functionality you could be running up a bill for thousands of dollars. I recently went to a seminar with a well known internet marketer and
just some of these tools alone were looking at costing $500 up front plus on going fees and charges.

Just luckily I got onto thirdsphere from some other mailing list I was on and I was blown away by all the benefits it had for me. They just seemed to pile up.

I’m talking:

  • unlimited autoresponders standard
  • affiliate software standard
  • powerful web hosting
  • snap in script center - a whole host of powerful scripts included
  • automated back end for delivery of digital products
  • ability to host unlimited domains
  • …..and much more …. more than I can be bothered listing but trust me it’s heaps

Any way … I got on board and have been using thirdsphere for my book - it’s all automated
people go to the page and buy it, it get’s delivered automatically - they then get automatically
moved to the correct mailing list.

All this stuff would normally required separate pieces of expensive software but it’s all included so it’s definitely value.

Suffice to say they are pretty cool over at Thirdsphere

Hosting Wolf - A web hosting directory

    Thursday 2 March 2006 @ 3:17 pm

My latest project is Hosting Wolf. The concept is a directory of web hosts, came about when I was looking for the best value web host. I looked on forums and eventually was able to find a web host, that had all the features I needed. If I’d had a bit more choice of hosts, I may have been able to make a better decision.

Anyway, you can add your host if you run a hosting company, but I will be checking on it to make sure it is of a high standard, for the directory. See the goal is to have a directory that contains only responsible and professionally run web hosts, so that if you chose one, you wouldn’t be making a dread mistake. You may pay a few dollars more or a few dollars less than some dodgy company can offer you, but you won’t be left holding the bag.

Always do your own research as well, but you know it’s a source of info for you to check against and nothing more. If you run a dodgy web hosting company then don’t bother submitting your link because you’ll be deleted.

These days running a good host is about having a range of features, listening to your customers and doing the right thing. Investing in appropriate technology to ensure security. You know just basic honest business practises - there are some great companies out there.

One thing I learnt is that cheaper isn’t always better and big isn’t always better either. Some of the tightest offerings come from relatively new companies, that have bitten the web hosting bullet and decided to create a solid business. That means looking after customers and of course the money just rolls in in waves - it can’t be stopped.

Problem is sometimes even these companies get slack and complacent, that’s why it pays to keep an eye out for a replacement should your company start to go on the downhill slide.

Anyway, my hope is that this site fills a need. It’s only in it’s infancy but with your help it will grow. Let’s revisit it again in 6 months - heck I’ll still be here. Check out Hosting Wolf - web hosting directory
