Five ways to boost your online income (for the advanced marketer)

Thursday 29 June 2006 @ 5:20 am

1. Take stock of your current income as a monthly average and set a target

2. Review what has worked in the past and strengthen it

3. Stop reading ebooks

4. Double your productive hours, by doing 20 minutes of real production instead of 10 -

real production is income producing activity, not reading ebooks

5. Quit buying crap from corporate internet marketers - become your own master

Corporate Gigantism

Friday 31 March 2006 @ 4:44 am

Just a few unevaluated thoughts for the day. We are hearing a lot lately about massive corporations and their various manouevres on the net, encroachment into each others traditional territory. Google going into software, Microsoft going into search.

*****I break into philosophical rambling here please click your back button if you usually can’t stomach this sort of thing- you have been warned*****

Recent patents filed by Google indicate a possibility that it will be providing subsidised hosting with an advertising monetization model. This is close but not right on the money to Googles monetization model. But it’s core service is search.

A delicate balance is trodden all the time by Google as they deliver their core service and attempt to monetize.

The unwritten laws:

It is my belief that within the community known as the internet there are unwritten laws - energies if you will that give the internet it’s vibrancy and substance. These must be held sacrosanct for the whole structure to maintain itself. A fundamental law which seems to be in operation is the freedom to communicate and the freedom to not communicate at will. Where this
is trounced upon the structure begins to break down.

There are many roads that the internet could go down but we should all insist on our right to communicate or not communicate at will. In this simple way we will avoid being corralled into another boring slavery.

It is an individuals job to maintain enough knowledge about what is going on so that he or she can
vote with their mouse.

Have a great day.
