It looks like the release of PHP Designer 2006 is well on the way. The software programmer, Michael Pham has released screen shots of the new interface. You can see them here.

The current program, PHP Designer 2005, provides a very clean interface for PHP developers. Switch syntax views between CSS, PHP, Java and more. Run code from the console - requires php installation on your machine.

This is a very nice program for coding in PHP. PHP Designer 2006 is sure to be even better than the 2005 version.
